We will be pleased to welcome you to our beautiful region. Created in 2019, the Marco Polo Institute benefits from a vast territory and an outstanding setting to perform its activities.
We live here, following the rhythm of the history of the region of Autun, its gastronomy and its magnificent landscapes.
Lulled by our streams, lakes and birdsong, we cannot help but love this region and share it with you.

The "Grand Autunois Morvan"
The region of Autun is located in the center of the Morvan, making it a wonderful area filled with large preserved spaces and enabling sport activities and green tourism.
Nestled in the very north of southern Burgundy, on the foothills of the Morvan, it benefits from a preserved environment and an exceptional setting in the center of the region.
In addition, the attractiveness of this territory is reinforced by its tremendous architectural heritage .
Indeed, with its 2000 years of history, Autun is a must-see city in Burgundy.
Born from the will of the Emperor Augustus, around 15 BC, the city has kept Gallo-Roman remains from that trime..
As a matter of fact, about 50 monuments or sites are registered or classified in the Inventory of Historical Monuments only in this city.
On the other hand, whether you are sporty or just want to go for a walk, horseback or mountain bike ride, we have hundreds of marked trails à parcourir. Donc, vous n’avez plus qu’à enfourcher votre monture ou chausser vos souliers ! Nous nous occupons du reste !
