To this day, we offer two pathways for your students.

First, the DU FLEST course which aims to obtain a French as a Foreign Language of Technical Specialty University Degree.

Then, the BUT course which aims to obtain the University Degree of Technology.

Integration into the course – DU FLEST – French foreign language university diploma

To begin with, we offer the International University Degree FLEST dedicated to foreign students.

It consists in an intensive French preparatory year. As a result, foreign students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the French culture and language.

To be able to integrate this course, students must:

• Have obtained the DU FLEST with a general average equal to or greater than 10/20, and the UE (Course Unit) average must not be below 8/20.
• Have validated the B1 level of the Diploma in French Language Studies (DELF) at the Marco Polo Institute.

Integration into the – BUT– course: University Degree of Technology

The BUT is a national diploma that can be achieved through continuous assessment.

The lessons are both theoretical and practical. They are taught by teachers, teacher-researchers and professionals.

It is worth mentioning that this course is intended to provide a professional training. Furthermore, it includes company internship periods and mentored projects.

Good to know: The IUT of Le Creusot offers 4 BUT courses.

• Marketing Techniques (TC)
• Mechanical and Production Engineering (GMP)
• Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing (GEII)
• Physical Measurements (PM)

First of all, students will have to justify:

• That they have gotten their DU FLEST with a general average equal to or greater than 10/20 (The UE average must not be below 8/20)

or

• That they have reached the B2 level of the Diploma in French Language Studies (DELF).

We support the students of your institution in the administrative and pedagogical procedures so that they can meet the entry conditions and integrate the IUT Le Creusot (University of Burgundy)

French as a Foreign Language - FLE – upgrade courses

To begin with, since it is required to master French, we accompany you in learning the language in order to reach DELF B2 level.

Attached to "TheUniversity of Burgundy", the University Institute of Technology of Le Creusot is located on the campus of South Burgundy. It is worth mentioning that the Masters of Science are open to students with three or four years of study abroad after high school. Please note that these masters do not require any general or technical prior knowledge related to the subjects studied.

Students will have to justify:

• their undergraduate degree (baccalaureate or equivalent)
• their level of English established at their choice and as follows:
  • TOEFL – at least 80/120
  • IELTS – at least 6/9
  • TOEIC – at least 785/990
  • Cambridge – B2 level
  • Montpellier Business School English test

In this respect, English-speaking candidates will be exempted from the test.

Reasoning test: Only for students with three years of studies after high school. Selected candidates will have an admission interview (via pre-recorded video).

In addition and depending on the level acquired on arrival in France, your students will be able to follow an upgrade in French in order to reach level DELF B1 or B2.

Integrating a school of fine arts in France requires passing a competitive examination. Generally scheduled in May, these competitions take place in different cities in France.

To integrate the preparation for the competitive examination, candidates must:

• Hold the Gao Kao

• Have validated the A2/B1 level of the Diploma in French Language Studies (DELF).

English courses for children or teenagers

At the Marco Polo Institute, we rely on exchange and interculturality to enhance the English level of the youngest. Thus, we offer three innovative and interactive English training devices for children or teenagers.

We collaborate with Young Global Citizens – the Young Citizens of the World program.This community brings together schools from all over the world around the concept of global citizenship and the 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

Thus, we enable children, through interviews with personalities, to develop skills in communication, critical and creative analysis, but also and above all, to gain self-confidence and openness to the world.

Nowadays, it is important that children can communicate in English with the whole world. As such, the program highlights these exchanges between young English-speaking students from the city of Vancouver, but also from other countries in the world. We strongly believe that this activity is a good way to raise their awareness and help them build the world of tomorrow.

The preparation at the Marco Polo Institute is organised in such a way as to make children and teenagers practise both their written and spoken English.

The device can be repeated as many times as they wish.

The objectives are:

• to support children and teenagers in their learning of English, both orally and in writing,
• to prepare a future summer camp for children and teenagers who so wish.

The courses are held mainly in face-to-face with a trainer.

We recommend 2 hours per week.

At the end of your training, you can also take the TOEIC Test toevaluate and validate your progress. 3. Rédiger des documents en anglais en mobilisant des structures grammaticales et un vocabulaire adapté afin d’apprécier les aptitudes écrites à diffuser des informations, poser des questions, donner des instructions nécessaires dans un contexte professionnel pour des rédacteurs non natifs
4. Communiquer en anglais afin d’apprécier les aptitudes à conduire des échanges et interagir dans un contexte professionnel pour des locuteurs non natifs.
